Stirling Old High School Observatory
Stirling

See the Moon, and perhaps Saturn, through our large 135 year-old Newtonian reflecting telescope, which sits inside the copper-domed Observatory at the A-listed Stirling Highland Hotel. Â Previously Stirling High School, the building was converted to an hotel in 1990. Â Tours, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will be provided by members of Stirling Astronomical Society. Â Please note, there are no tours on Saturday this year.
This is a very popular event so you may have to queue, but the hotel has kindly provided a room where you can watch a digital presentation while you wait. Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the observatory, which is up a 90 step spiral staircase.
